Section I - General Rules
Participants must only enter through the Sheri Wall dba A Matter of Rhyme website using the provided form, and emails collected will be entered into the Eagle Team email list.
Sheri Wall dba A Matter of Rhyme will have the right to edit, publish, or otherwise duplicate a submission entered into the contest without financial compensation.
Only the person who submitted an honoree that’s selected will be contacted and informed about their selection.
If an honoree is selected, the person making the submission must obtain permission from the honoree.
There is no entry fee to enter.
All honorees selected will have their names printed in a yet-to-be-determined location in Ethan’s Word of Honor.
Section II - Qualifications for Participants
The campaign is open to anyone anywhere who would like to submit an honoree.
Participants may submit only one honoree entry during the campaign.
Section III - Rules
Submissions must address a person they wish to honor.
Submissions should be no more than 100 words in length.
Submissions must be written in English.
Submission deadline is August 25, 2024.
Section IV - Selection
Selections for public sharing will be made by Sheri Wall and select representatives of A Matter of Rhyme.
The number of selections for public sharing will be based on the number of submissions, processing timelines, and other relevant factors deemed necessary by Sheri Wall, dba A Matter of Rhyme.
Selections may be shared before, during, and after the Kickstarter campaign for Ethan’s Word of Honor on social media, amatterofrhyme.com, and newsletters or emails generated by Sheri Wall.
All honorees entered may be listed on amatterofrhyme.com.
Section V - Use of Information
All submissions become the property of Sheri Wall dba A Matter of Rhyme. Sheri Wall dba A Matter of Rhyme reserves the right to use any and all information related to the campaign, including submissions provided by the contestants, for editorial, marketing, and any other purpose, unless prohibited by law. Participants hereby grant Sheri Wall dba A Matter of Rhyme and a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to broadcast, publish, store, reproduce, distribute, syndicate, and otherwise use and exhibit the Submission (along with their names, voices, performance, and/or likenesses) in all media now known and later to come into being for purposes of trade or advertising without further compensation. Participants represent and warrant that they have full legal right, power, and authority to grant Sheri Wall dba A Matter of Rhyme the foregoing license and, if applicable, have secured all necessary rights from any participants in, and contributors to, their Submission in order to grant such a license. Sheri Wall dba A Matter of Rhyme is under no obligation to use any Submission or return the Submissions to participants.
Section VI - Limitations of Liability
By participating in the competition, you agree to release Sheri Wall dba A Matter of Rhyme and her respective affiliates, representatives, subsidiaries, employees, directors, officers, and agents from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with your participation in the campaign. Sheri Wall dba A Matter of Rhyme is not responsible for late, lost, or misdirected submissions or for any email, computer, online, telephone, or technical malfunctions that may occur. If, for any reason, the campaign is not capable of running as planned, Sheri Wall dba A Matter of Rhyme may cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the competition.
